J’aime beaucoup le Karaoke, mais je n’ai jamais trouve quelqu’un qui en tirait plaisir autant que moi…. et qui serait autant passioné par la politique ou l’informtique.
Si vous êtes une telle personne, écrivez-moi.

In an article on the Spiegel Online International website, Gabor Steingart writes:
The textbook conclusion is that this [raising interest rates] will stabilize the value of money, because no one will dare demand higher wages or higher prices. But the macroeconomics textbooks are no longer worth much in the age of globalization. Modern inflation is driven by the global scarcity of resources. Nowadays purchasing power exceeds purchasing opportunity. Most of all, there is not enough oil, and too few raw materials and food products. These increasingly scarce resources are becoming the focus of disputes among many people and billions of dollars are at stake.

The sustainable economics policies promoted by the Green Party are long overdue. They come from a perspective that economics can work *with* the natural world in order to enrich the life support system of the planet, not destroy it.
But more importantly, building the green economy is a set of solutions to the real economic issues that are on the minds of everyday Canadians. Sustainable economics means fulfilling everyday needs and having a quality of life without compromising the ability of future generations to do so as well . The end result of thinking about future generations is a reduction in demand for resources, the crux of the problem identified above.
In order to replace current economic policies with real solutions, Canadians must replace our current politicians and more importantly, change the electoral system.
